Free meals will be made available again this summer to all
children 18 years of age and under, and persons 19 years of age and over who
have a mental or physical disability (as determined by a State or local
educational agency) and who participates during the school year in a public or
private non-profit school program (established for the mentally or physically
disabled).
The Summer Food Service Program, funded by the U.S.
Department of Agriculture (USDA), begins Monday, June 9 and ends Friday, Aug.
22, 2008. Meals will be available at over 90 sites throughout the city,
including community sites, recreation centers and schools. Meals may include
breakfast, lunch, supper or a snack, depending on their hours of operation.

Meals will be provided in accordance with federal law and
